| Today Premier Rugby agreed a three year deal with Hilton Hotels to be the Official Hotel Partner of the Guinness Premiership and one of Premier Rugby's exclusive partners. |
As the only hotel partner, Hilton will work with the Guinness Premiership clubs to provide accommodation at preferential rates for their teams when they travel to away matches in the Guinness Premiership, the EDF Energy Cup and European competitions. In addition Hilton's flagship hotel on London's Park Lane will play host to the Guinness Premiership season launch and the end of season Guinness Premiership Awards.
With benefits such as complimentary tickets, signed merchandise giveaways, as well as exclusive access to the clubs and players, Hilton Hotels will bring rugby fans even closer to the action! With hotels near to many of the 12 Guinness Premiership Clubs home grounds, such as Leicester Tigers, London Wasps, Newcastle Falcons and Bath Rugby, fans who stay at a Hilton hotel on match weekend might bump into their favourite player tucking into their pre-match breakfast!
Director of Sports Sponsorship for Hilton, Robin Fenwick commented, 'With the UK being our largest market outside of the US, Hilton Hotels and Premier Rugby are a natural fit; both are organisations that strive for success and this partnership will help us achieve that by reaching a new range of customers. As the Guinness Premiership goes from strength to strength, now is the best time to be involved in this increasingly popular sport and as such we will be providing accommodation for each of the 12 Guinness Premiership Clubs and their loyal supporters. We want to ensure that their match day experience is enhanced whatever their requirements may be'.
Premier Rugby's Commercial Director Jon Varney said, "I am very pleased to welcome Hilton Hotels to the Premier Rugby family of sponsors. They join an established list of blue chip partners and their support is another endorsement of the strength of the Guinness Premiership coming as it does on the back of our most successful season to date. I know the clubs are looking forward to working with Hilton to plan their team accommodation for the upcoming season and we will continue our discussions on creating an exclusive affinity programme that will give something back to our supporters."
The Premier Rugby partnership has been estimated to deliver a five to one return on investment for Hilton Hotels. |
